TRYOUT CRITERIA

"Tryouts" are a process of observing and evaluating players in an effort to select players and create teams at Bristol CRUSH Volleyball Club.  This process is the same process used by most high school teams in their player/team selection process, and the evaluation involves many coaches and club administrators, as well as many different criteria.  Although the criteria used to select players and create teams is up to the individual coaches of the teams the selections are being made for, as well as the club administrators, and differ based on age group, they can include any or all of the following:

1) Positional needs for a particular team

2) Overall Volleyball IQ/Knowledge and current volleyball ability

3) Coachability/Attitude

4) Overall Athleticism/Potential

5) Positional Skill and Knowledge
