Tryout Information (All tryout dates and times are subject to change)    

All tryouts are held at the Bristol Boys and Girls Club            

High Performance (HP) and Early HP Select teams

Tryouts are held on Sunday Nov. 24, 2019. 

15U, 16U, 17U 18U  HP and Early HP select  9:00-11:30

Doors open at 8:00am and tryouts begin promptly at 9:00am and conclude at 11:30am.

Second day of HP tryouts:

Monday Nov. 25, 6:00pm- 8:30pm. 

Team selections will be made the week of Thanksgiving, and practices start the following week.

Regional Team

Tryouts for Regional teams will be held on Nov. 24, 2019

15U tryout 12:00-2:00

16U tryout 2:30-4:30

17U & 18U tryout 5:00-7:00

 The second tryout date is Sunday Dec. 1, 2019

17U & 18U tryout 5:00-7:00

  Team selections will be made in December, and practices start the first weekend in January (after New Years).

**It is very important to attend both tryout sessions to ensure coaches are able to accurately assess your abilities accurately.**

All tryouts will be held at the Bristol Boys and Girls Club, 255  West St. Bristol.

BEFORE YOU TRYOUT YOU MUST...

In order to tryout for either program with CRUSH you need to do the following:

___ fully register for the program you are wanting to tryout for here on this web site.  Advanced registration is required, but drop ins will be accepted on a first come first serve basis and an additional $20 fee.  Once the maximum number of registrations has been reached for each session the registrations will be closed.

___ pay the non-refundable $20 tryout fee (due 11/25/2019)

___report to check in at the Bristol Boys and Girls Club at 30 minutes prior to your tryout time to ensure your tryout will start on time

Once selected for a team:

___ register or renew your NERVA membership, cost is $60.

TRYOUT CRITERIA

"Tryouts" are a process of observing and evaluating players in an effort to select players and create teams at Bristol CRUSH Volleyball Club.  This process is the same process used by most high school teams in their player/team selection process, and the evaluation involves many coaches and club administrators, as well as many different criteria.  Although the criteria used to select players and create teams is up to the individual coaches of the teams the selections are being made for, as well as the club administrators, and differ based on age group, they can include any or all of the following:

1) positional needs for a particular team

2) overall volleyball IQ/knowledge and current volleyball ability

3) coachability/attitude

4) overall athleticism/potential

5) positional skill and knowledge
