When and where do CRUSH teams practice?
All regional teams with CRUSH practice twice per week (once during the week and once on Sundays). HP teams may have a third practice during a week day. Practices start for HP/Select teams the week after Thanksgiving and practices for Regional teams start the first Sunday after New Years. Most, if not all, practices will be held in Bristol (either at the Bristol Boys and Girls Club or at one of the schools in Bristol).
When and where are the tournaments?
All of our regiona teams participate in the 5 NERVA tournaments, which start in March and end in May, and are, usually, within an hour and a half to two and a half hours from Bristol, within New England, although it differs by age level and level of play.
Our High Performance/Select teams participate in the following additional tournaments:
Winterfest (in Hartford, CT)
Boston Mizuno Volleyball Festival (in Boston, MA)
Rhode Island Rumble (in Providence, RI)
What levels of teams do you have?
CRUSH is selecting players for High Performance/Select and for Regional teams for the 2020 club season. The age levels for the HP/Select teams include 15u, 16u, 17U(possibly) and 18u, and the age levels for the Regional teams will range from 14u to 18u, with one or more teams in each level.
How do I figure out what age group I need to try out for?
You can use the USA Volleyball Age Definitions to determine, based on your birthdate, which age group you will fall into. USA Volleyball allows players and teams to "play up," but not to "play down," so, for example, someone who meets the criteria for a 15u team can play on a 16u team, but cannot play on a 14u team. It is up to the individual club(s) as to whether or not movement between age groups is allowed within teams for that club.
What do I need to do to be ready to tryout?
In order to tryout for either program with CRUSH you need to do the following:

2) pay the non-refundable $20 tryout fee (due 11/24/2019)
3) print, complete/sign and submit the Bristol Boys and Girls Club particiaption release form
4) show up for tryouts on time and ready to go.
5) If selected for a team, register or renew your NERVA membership

What do I do if I get an error trying to pay online?
If you are trying to pay online, and you receive an error, please make sure you are using a card with a Visa or MasterCard logo on it (these are the only two that our online payment merchant account accepts). Any other types of cards will likely cause an error. If you have ensured that you have used a Visa or MasterCard, and that all of your card and billing information is correct, and are still receiving errors, please send an email to Gail at firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
What do I do if I am having issues seeing the registration form or questions during the registration process?
If you are having issues viewing or responding to the quetsions during the registration process, please try using a different browser, and/or ensure that your browser settings are set to allow our website to use pop-ups, add-ins and scripts.
